Summertime...

Summertime...

...is coming to an end. Boy, time really flies when you're having fun! The rush of summer camp and vacations is ending and now it's time to get ready for another school year.

Here are a few of the latest card/craft creations:

Here is a "shaker" card that is fun, bright and interactive. The sprinkles are enclosed so that the recipient can shake the card and move them around. This card went out to "DC" to say thanks and brighten her week.

Here's the inside of the card:

Still loving the stencils and distressed ink motif. Here's a quick card that I made using this same technique. This card goes to encourage someone that is not feeling well. Blessings and healing.

This card goes to encourage a sick member at my church. May God give you a sweet song to "sing" as you hold on to Him.

Canson Watercolor Paper

I love mixing and matching my supplies to "stretch" my design choices. I used the stitched frame die from the PTI Shakers and Sprinkles Kit. I also gave the frame some dimension by adhering it to dimensional foam tape. Then sentiments and images were heat embossed; the bird cut out using a die cut from a PTI kit.

Here's the inside of the card:

Here is another interactive "shaker" card that I made to encourage someone that tragically lost a dear friend. May good grant you and the entire family healing, comfort and peace. Love and Hugs, "SB".

Canson Watercolor Paper
PTI "Make It Market Kit: Shakers and Sprinkles" Stamp Set

I used my Silhouette Die Cut Machine and Sketch Pen to decorate a customized envelope. First I sketched the design with the Sketch Pens, then I cut the envelope out with the cutting blade and...Voila!

Products Used:

Silhouette DS Die Cut Machine
Georgia Pacific Cardstock (110-lb weight)

Here's a quick card that I made for my son. I'll be making a stash of these encouragement cards to have on hand for both of my sons throughout the school year.

And finally, an important word of encouragement for...ME! I can be such a complainer (the truth sets us free). Here is a gentle reminder from me - to me - of how "rich" my life is. Thank you Lord, for helping me to embrace this attitude of gratitude. This affirmation sits in my craft room in plain view.

Silhouette Online Store Cut file
Silhouette DS Die Cut Machine
Silhouette Glitter Sketch Pen
Georgia Pacific Cardstock (110-lb weight)

Well, I'm still buzzing away in the craft room for Back to School goodies for my sons, nephews and their new teachers, as well as encouragement messages to a host of other people that God has placed on my heart. May God comfort, heal and bless all recipients.

As always, if you know of a someone that might benefit from this encouragement ministry, please send me their information and details about the type of message that might benefit them.

Remember to "follow" my blog. I very much appreciate your support.

Until next time, blessings and bliss;

I'm back!!!

Hello Family!

It's been such a loooonnnng time since my last post. So much has happened.

My sweet grandmother passed away on New Year's Eve. I accepted a new work position and relocated. My big boy celebrated another birthday. You know, the more things change, the more they remain the same.  I am so grateful for God's unfailing, steadfast love and care.

I have so much to show you, so let's dig right in!

In honor of Teacher's Appreciation Week, I made some cards and treats for my son's/nephew's teachers. Here is a sample of some of their gifts:

This card went out to my baby son's teacher, "Mrs. L.". Along with the card, I sent what I call a "Teacher's Survival Kit" along with a scented candle. The Survival Packs had a pack of facial tissue, hand sanitizer, hand lotion, some mini candy bars and peppermint lifesavers.
To learn how to make your own treat bags, check out this blog post by Jennifer McGuire http://youtu.be/yPct91jdYfU . Her vlogs are bursting with creativity and new techniques.
